Placement: A French elementary school Responsibilities as intern: – Aiding principal teacher of a large elementary school class, taking responsibility for half of the students at a time – Managing a pen-pal project with a school in Chicago, helping students with their correspondence in English. – Assistant teaching courses in English and Computer Science Subject of research: Issues in Tutoring Students With Learning Disabilities and Behavioral Difficulties in a French Elementary School And... Thanks to her experience in her internship, Anna received a placement student teaching at her college’s campus school. |

Placement: Large not-for-profit organizational of university students helping pupils in difficulty Responsibilities as intern: – Helping to organize a nation-wide solidarity festival in 60 towns across France ( coordination, working on the website, communications) – Assisting with a photo-shoot for the next recruitment campaign, and with a questionnaire study on one of the college targeted in the new campaign. – Maintaining contact with other non-profits – Participating in the creation of the newspaper “Vonlontaires” Subject of research: How Association Students Provide School Support to Recently Arrived Immigrant Children And... After graduation Frances participated in the founding of an NGO that uses video with disadvantaged urban youth. |
